What to

wear

Ballet dancers should wear a leotard, black or pink ballet tights, and black or pink ballet shoes with their hair in a clean ballet bun. Ballet Optional coverups include shorts, ballet skirts, and leg-warmers. Hip hop students should wear pants or leggings that cover the knees, a comfortable athletic shirt, sneakers, and hair should pulled up and out of the face. Contemporary attire is anything you can move comfortably in and socks are recommended.

*no bare midriffs*

What to

bring

You will want to bring a water bottle to have quick access to water during class. Water bottles, shoes, and any other cover ups may be kept in a dance bag inside of the studio.

What to

expect

We are going to have so much fun learning new dance skills and choreography this year! Students are welcome to arrive early and warm up inside the upstairs studios a few minutes prior to their class time. Each class has its own customized curriculum that is age and skill-appropriate, and our teachers are wonderful at both challenging AND encouraging students in their training. Classes are dismissed upstairs and parents may pick up their child outside of the dance studios.

Class

tips

We have lots of parent seating on our second floor. While this is a great spot directly outside of the studios, please refrain from 'coaching' or talking to your kids from here as they need to be focused during class. Leave the teaching to our teachers and everyone will have a great time! If you ever want to know more about our class curriculum, feel free to talk to your dancer’s teacher after class or anyone at the front desk.
